Have you missed us?! We didn't go into a winter hibernation, although that would have been amazing! Instead, MABB collectively decided to take a mini-break from the bi-weekly questions in order to spend more time with our families over Thanksgiving and to start prepping ourselves for the holiday rush. But now we'll be back to normal for a few weeks! Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Every other Wednesday, the Metro Atlanta Beauty Bloggers will answer a beauty-related question just for fun!
This week's question is...
What tops your holiday beauty wish list this year?
I have often said that the Holidays are the best time to do your major makeup shopping. There are so many great beauty gift sets and palettes available for the Holidays! The deals are just amazing! Not only do you get so much product for your money, but also the selection is just unbeatable. I really do have to show restraint with my makeup spending this time of year. All of the beautiful Holiday kits and sets are sooooo tempting. However, purchasing a lot of new makeup is just not in my budget. So, I do my research and really try to determine what my favorites are before heading out to the stores or ordering online.
There certainly are many "stand out" Holiday Items this year! I have a Makeup Wars Holiday Wishlist post coming up next week. So, I won't "spoil" the surprise by revealing my full list just yet. However, I will tell you the item at the top of my list!

This set is packaged so beautifully in a gold embossed travel bag! The kit contains 24 full-sized eyeshadows, 8 mini glosses, one mini blush, one blush brush, one face powder, and one mini mascara. You can create countless looks with this amazing set! Yeah, this kit pretty much "had me at hello". This set retails for $54 (with a value of $512) and is sold exclusively at Sephora. Clearly this set is a great deal if you are looking to try out some makeup from Tarte! This would be a beautiful gift for yourself or anyone you know that loves makeup!
I would love to hear about what is at the top of your Holiday Wishlists this year!

I have the Carried Away Collector's set! It's fantastic. I really don't think Tarte shadows get the credit they deserve. Without a primer, they're good, and with a primer and/or base, they're fantastic. The brush included really surprised me with how good of quality it is (I always expect SOMETHING in a palette to be cheap, and I was betting it was the brush). The blush, Adventurous, is gorgeous, a spare finishing powder is always nice, and a travel-size Lights, Camera, Action! is fantastic. I tried one of the glosses and wasn't a fan, but I don't really like lip gloss. So I'm using the rest as stocking stuffers. You HAVE to get this, even if you sell a kidney.
I don't really have a Holy Grail of Christmas/Holiday 2012 item, it would have been the Carried Away set but someone gave it to me early as a 'thank you' gift. Tarte making more pretty eye shadows would be nice. Oh, or offering EVERY COLOR EVER in the refill pans, so I could make my own. I kind of want the Fantastic Foursome blush set, but I really only want two blushes from it. I also kind of want all the Tarte powder blushes in existence, and a few of the creme ones. FIRST WORLD PROBLEM: not having a 'THE gift' in mind :P
That is an awesome set. It's so pretty!
@Calli-Thank you for your detailed comment! You have me SOOOO excited to get this item now (even if I have to sell a kidney, lol!). I agree that tarte is underrated. This set is just beautiful and I totally want it! :)
@Chantel-Agreed, so pretty!
I treated myself to this set and so far it's awesome! I love the variety and quality of the shadows. The blush is a lovely neutral shade; I was worried it would be too pink, but it is perfect.
I LOVE that the lipglosses are individual and can be carried in my purse (or left at home to make room for other stuff.
And the packaging is genius! I'm headed out on a big trip for 3 weeks and my brushes/primer fit in one clear side and my concealer, liner pencils and mascara fit in the other side. With the shadows included, I don't need to bring anything else: it all fits!
@Natasha-I keep hearing such great things about this set! I think the implications for travel are great! Glad to hear that you were able to fit everything you needed for an out of town trip. Genius!!! Love it too that the lipglosses are individual. That is usually my complaint with larger palettes (that the lipsticks/glosses are in the pan). Thanks so much for reading and commenting! :)
The Tarte set and the makeup holder bag look beautiful.
I'm also trying to limit myself to a few holiday items. I haven't picked out any makeup (was tempted by the NARS/Warhol collection but I couldn't justify getting similar colours to items I already had). I really want the Philosophy Italian Tiramisu shower gel. Soon, as the Sephora B.I./V.I.B. offer is out and I plan to use mine on a few essentials and gifts and the above extra.
@Iris-Oooh, that Philosophy shower gel sounds amazing!
