"Banana-licious" scent from Shea Terra Organics

That's right, I have gone completely bananas for banana scents lately! I recently rotated 3 great banana scented products into my beauty routine: Shea Terra Organics' Bananas & Baobabs Whipped Shea Butter Body Cream and The Body Shop's Banana Shampoo and Banana Conditioner (reviews coming soon!). I am loving every banana-scented moment!

The Banana-Craze all started when I first opened my Shea Terra Organics Bananas & Baobabs Whipped Shea Butter Body Creme. OMG! Seriously! This is one of the best smelling products that I have ever used! It smells exactly like a Banana Cream Pie. I mean, exactly! It isn't just a banana smell...it is a "baked goods" scent. Yummy! Shea Terra organics just does "baked goods" scents so well! You may remember my Shea Terra Organics Dark Chocolate Scrub review? If you haven't then be sure to check it out as it is the best brownie-scented body scrub ever! So decadent! Hmm...I am thinking that I might just kick this post-baby weight by opting for delicious-smelling body products rather than actually eating a dessert, lol!

More About Shea Terra Organics and their African Ingredients:
Shea Terra Organics is an eco-conscious company that creates their products using African indigenous wild-harvested and organic ingredients. Shea Terra's Bananas & Baobabs Whipped Shea Butter is 99.7% natural and it contains 30% organic shea butter and African Baobab oil. I am sure you are wondering (because I was too!)...what is Baobab oil? It is an African oil from the "Tree of Life". It is rich in the amino acid lysine which helps with collagen production and tissue repair. It is also rich in vitamins such as omega six and nine. I am quite curious to explore this ingredient further! The company included a small sample of pure Baobab oil that I would like to investigate and use.

The Skinny:
Shea Terra Organics Whipped Shea Butter in Bananas & Baobabs comes in a 9 oz glass screw-top jar container that retails for $19.00. The cream is very concentrated. So, this jar should last for quite a bit.

The Yummy Banana Scent!
How did this shea butter get that great banana pudding or banana cream pie scent? Shea Terra uses all-natural banana extract! Now, if you are not a fan of bananas, then you will not like this product's scent (but then really, you probably wouldn't even be reading this review!).

While I have always loved banana scents, I really do not have that many products that smell of banana! After using this body butter a few days, I decided to go on the hunt for more banana products. I used to use the Body Shop's Banana Shampoo and Conditioner many years ago. I was thrilled to find that the Body Shop still makes it! So, now I can be banana scented head-to-toe, lol!

Not a fan of banana scents? Well, the good news is that Shea Terra's Whipped Shea Butters come in other scents too. The White Chocolate and the Menthe Cardamom sound like they smell amazing. No, I have not smelled those...but, Shea Terra does do food scents so well...

How I use:
While this is technically a "body" cream, I find that I am primarily using it as a hand/cuticle cream. But, I also use it on any dry or rough spots such as my elbows, knees, and feet. This cream is just so buttery and rich! It leaves the skin feeling super soft and hydrated with a bit of an oily residue that absorbs over time. I find that the scent lingers for a bit too. I always end up smelling my hands repeatedly after I use this!

I am enjoying my Shea Terra Organics Dark Chocolate Scrub and Bananas & Baobabs Shea Butter Body Cream so much that I want to explore the rest of this great line!
